About Us

Blackwater Plant

provides high quality plant machinery, specialist trade tools and landscaping contracting tools to the construction, environmental and civil engineering industries, throughout Essex and the South East. Our dedicated office is based near Maldon, Essex, where we also have a large workshop and warehousing facility, on site. Sitting within the umbrella of the Hayward and Barrett Group, Blackwater Plant’s sister companies are Hayward and Barrett Groundworks Ltd and Naio Environmental Ltd.

The company

was formed in 2013 when Hayward and Barrett Groundworks Ltd began experiencing a high demand for the lease of their already acquired machinery, which was being used to service their own construction and civil engineering projects. The company has since grown to provide an extensive range of high performance machinery for all elements of small and large scale construction, landscaping and environmental and civil engineering works.

With a strong emphasis on service standards

Blackwater Plant employs a skilled labour force to deliver machinery direct to each site, and also to operate all machinery if required, for the duration of the hire.

Our extensive and expanding plant hire

range includes Hyundai and Kybota Excavators, compaction rollers and plates, skip loaders and dumpers. With a strong focus on health and safety for our clients and operators, our remote control compaction equipment eliminates the operator's exposure to hand/arm vibration (HAV).

Blackwater Plant’s specialist tools

for building and landscaping, enable us to supply to a large spectrum of private as well as professional clients. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, cost saving service, to all our clients at all levels, giving us a maximum exposure and a wide target market. It is our products and staff that enforce our professionalism and our customer service that builds our reputation.

Please see our Plant Hire page for a complete list of all of our available machines and tools.
